Arriving at Cedar Grove Motor Lodge, whether you’re a new or returning guest, is like arriving home.  John and Jill immediately make you feel like family, with every small touch of detail provided to ensure your comfort, whether you’re here on business or pleasure.

After years of frequent weekend trips and holidays to Nelson, John and Jill Moses opened their first motel in Nelson in 1995. They thoroughly enjoy living in Nelson, with the nice weather, great people and the excellent range of indoor and outdoor activities and events.

With extensive experience visiting Nelson as tourists themselves, their focus is on providing their guests with the best possible experience:

John and Jill love working together as a team. They both love interacting with people, and their hospitality is exceptional.

With an excellent knowledge of the area, they can provide you with detailed information and maps of the area, ensuring that you get the most out of your stay in Nelson. They can also help you with transportation arrangements if necessary.

John and Jill live on site, and are available for their guests 24/7. As well as looking after their guests and furnishing the Motor Lodge’s units, John and Jill have a range of interests – John enjoys swimming and golf, and Jill enjoys gardening and retail therapy!
